Cat vs Cafe (70/30)

We visited on a somber day that was cold and pouring rain, but inside this sweet little cafe, it was warm and sunny.

A bit out of downtown, we took the Tohu (blue) line to Higashikuyakusho-Mae stop and walked about six blocks.  Drenched, the owner showed us where to place our wet things while going over the rules.  As we had a busy day (so many cat cafes, so little time!) we opted for 30 minutes for Y480, but I also ordered a hot latte for Y300 and it was delicious.

The room was immaculately clean and very home like with twelve cats roaming about.  As we settled in, we could tell the owner loves his cats and they love him back as they vied for his attention and hopped on his neck!  What I liked was how much he wanted the cats to interact with the patrons, even going so far as to bring the friendlier cats over to children.  He is one of the few genuinely engaged cafe owners I have met in my 75+ cat cafe visits.  Also a keen photographer, the owner is active on social media with a website, blog, Twitter account and YouTube channel to his credit.  

The cats were mainly the short hair variety but were incredible social and lively.  

If you are a cat lover, make sure to go out of your way to visit when in Sapporo.
